A downhill-casing tubeless rear tire in 29 x 2.40, the Continental Kryptotal Rear is built for gravity riders who want predictable rear-end braking and acceleration traction without the rolling drag of a Super Soft compound out back. The Kryptotal-Re tread runs ramped, tightly packed center knobs to keep rolling speed reasonable while aggressive shoulder blocks bite when the tire is leaned over.

The Downhill casing doubles sidewall fabric to four plies and runs six plies under the tread with a butyl insert and a thicker folding aramid bead, built to take the rear-wheel impacts of bike park and DH use. Soft compound balances grip against rear-tire wear life, claimed weight roughly 1300g, 660 TPI, 50 psi max, E25-rated.
